What is Physiotherapy?

Physiotherapy (also known as Physical therapy) is defined as the assessment, evaluation, and treatment and prevention of physical disability, movement dysfunction and pain resulting from injury, disease, disability, or other health related problems. A person who is engaged with these activities is known as physiotherapist. Physiotherapy is one of the fastest-growing allied area of medicine, is the systems of treatment of disease and disability using physical exercises. Physiotherapists help patients regain proper physical movement with the help of massages, exercises and a combination of therapies using heat, wax and electricity. With increasing stress and sedentary jobs in today’s common lifestyle, the need for physiotherapists and the resulting job prospects have increased markedly.
