The counsellor does not provide solution to the problem but facilitates clients understanding of the issue, various factors, attitudes and skills related to the issue and helps the client to work through them and arrive at more effective attitudes, skills and decisions.

There are no quick fixes or formulae to be used or applied. One has to trust, invest time and take efforts to make the Counselling session effective; it is a shared responsibility of the Counsellor & the Client. Further referrals are given for the client to get an appropriate assessment and guidance if the issue and the client require a different professional intervention.
